Mumbai: India mourns the loss of one of its most revered industrialists, Ratan Tata, who passed away at the age of 86. After battling illness for an extended period, Tata took his last breath while undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his condolences on social media, stating, “Saddened by the demise of Shri Ratan Tata. He was a great hero of Indian industry, known for his significant contribution to our economy, trade, and industry. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fans. May his soul rest in peace.”
RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka also took to X (formerly Twitter) to pay tribute to Tata, remarking, “The clock has stopped ticking. Titan passed away. Ratan Tata was an epitome of integrity, ethical leadership, and philanthropy that left an indelible mark on the world of business and beyond. He will always remain high in our memories.”
