Tangerang: A Batik Air Boeing 737 made a courageous landing at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta completely against a strong jet of winds and rain showers; it was just momentarily away from being destroyed.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, PK-LDJ was flying in decentralised, turbulent weather. As it approached the runway a few metres away, the plane was hit by a heavy downpour and was received by a strong crosswind, causing it to tilt sideways, with the right wing an inch close to being in a run on the tarmac. The dramatic clip was recorded by the witnesses, and it was posted on Instagram by @velljet.vjt, following the dramatic tilt of the plane before resettlement by the pilot in a struggle.
Danang Mandala Prihantoro, the Corporate Communications Strategic Officer of Batik Air, described the recovery as a model situation. The aircraft could continue flying and land safely because, even though the storm was strong, the pilot quickly responded with safety rules. The checks when landing made it certain that the plane had no defects.

The video currently circulating on X has shocked people, especially in light of the earlier Air India Boeing 737 crash this year, which resulted in the deaths of 275 people in Ahmedabad. The near-meltdown of Batik Air highlights the difficulty of landing in severe weather conditions.
Batik Air thanked their crew members for their professionalism when they dedicated their flight service to passenger safety. Despite the terrifying experience, it underscores the valiant efforts of the trained pilots to prevent aircraft destruction.
