NewDelhi: In an update, on the Russia Ukraine tensions saga Russian President Vladimir Putin has shown openness to engaging in talks about a ceasefire deal with the recently elected US President Trump. This information was verified by Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov; however Russia continues to uphold its position on security concerns, in the Baltic Sea area.
Reuters reported that based on information, from five Kremlin informants sources indicated that although Putin is willing to consider ceasefire talks he has rejected compromises in regions controlled by Russia The informants who spoke on the condition of anonymity disclosed that Moscow is firm, on its stance that Kyiv should give up any hopes of joining NATO in the future.

Discussions may arise regarding the allocation of four regions, in the east. Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzha and Kherson.
Russia presently dominates around 70 to 80 percent of the regions it claims.
Ukraine currently governs an area of 26 thousand kilometers.
Russia may be thinking about pulling out from the territories they currently occupy in the Kharkiv and Mykolayiv regions.
