NewDelhi: In a move, at Parliament today Congress lawmaker Priyanaka Gandhi Vadra drew attention by carrying a bag that prominently featured “Palestine ” showcasing her support, for the cause.
This meaningful act comes after her recent discussion, with the Ambassador to India named Abed Elrazeg Abu Jazer who congratulated her on winning in the Wayand constituency election result area. In that conversation Gandhi Vadra conveyed her backing for the fight for independence reminiscing about her childhood instances of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafats connections, with former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
“I have always supported the people from an age and believe in their fight, for justice ” mentioned Gandhi Vadra during her conversation with the ambassador.She also expressed disapproval of the military operations, in Gaza as “inhumane.” This took place in July.
The Congress leader has spoken out strongly about the Israel Hamas conflict currently taking place. Has shown worry regarding the damage, in Gaza while also condemning the silence of the international community, on the matter. “I offer my condolences to every mother who has experienced losing a child in this conflict ” she remarked as she urged for involvement to tackle this crisis.
Her recent display of solidarity, by accessorizing in Parliament seems to reflect her commitment to the cause.She previously urged countries globally to denounce what she labeled as ” actions” by the authorities and called for an urgent halt to the assaults earlier, in the year.
