Bhubaneswar: Echoing the concerns of students and several others, Greta Thunberg, the Swedish teenage climate activist, on Tuesday took to Twitter to call for postponement of JEE and NEET exams in view of the prevailing pandemic situation in the country.
It’s deeply unfair that students of India are asked to sit national exams during the Covid-19 pandemic and while millions have also been impacted by the extreme floods. I stand with their call to #PostponeJEE_NEETinCOVID

Another climate change activist from Uganda, Vanessa Nakate, has tweeted and urged the government to postpone these exams.
I love it when young people come together for change
We will drive change for the students of India and continue to drive change for the planet#MODIJI_POSTPONEJEENEET

Young climate activist, Licypriya Kangujam, was also seen extending her support to the students in their protest against the government’s decision to conduct these exams amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Exam Centres will be same like Concentration Camp. If you’re lucky, you will survive?. If you’re unlucky, you will return to COVID hospital? or grave⚰️ instead of home. But many will dead.
Why Government playing lives of millions of students in COVID?#MODIJI_POSTPONEJEENEET
