PM Modi To Launches New High-Speed Rail Service With Advanced Features

Patna: In a step towards upgrading rail travel and allowing passengers to experience modern facilities, the first-ever Namo Bharat Rapid Train is all set to connect Jayanagar and Patna. In the launch ceremony at Jhajharpura, Madhubani, PM Narendra Modi will flag off the launch of the service. The train will be based on a broader initiative, and other train services will also be added on the day (Prime Ministers by starting all these services in a day).

The Namo Bharat Rapid Train will offer advanced features to passengers with 16 full AC coaches modelled like metro trains. The modern coaches will boast of newer technologies like the Kavach safety system, CCTV surveillance, automated doors, Wi-Fi, vacuum toilets, and USB charging points. It would run at around 160 km/h, cutting the travel time down immensely. It will boast the ability to transport in excess of 2,000 passengers at once.

The train is expected to take 6 hours and 50 minutes to cover the distance between Jayanagar and Patna and will operate six days a week. Stops will be made at important stations like Samastipur, Darbhanga, Sakri, Madhubani, Barauni, Maukama and Bakhtiyarpur. The train will leave Jayanagar at 11.40 a.m. and arrive in Patna by 6.30 p.m.

Besides Namo Bharat Rapid Train, PM Modi will also flag off Amrit Bharat Express between Saharsa-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai. It will leave Saharsa at 11:40 AM, while it will arrive in Mumbai the next night at 11:30 PM. A few examples include its running through important cities of Muzaffarpur, Patna and Danapur, etc., by the Amrit Bharat Express. Eleven of these coaches are for general passengers, while eight are sleeper coaches, along with two specially designed for differently abled passengers: a luggage van and a guard van.

Along with it, two new passenger trains between Saharsa-Alouli and Bithan-Samastipur will also be introduced, facilitating better connectivity and opening new avenues of employment, education and business for the population in the northernmost part of the state.

The arrival of the Namo Bharat Rapid Train will take Bihar into a new era of railway history. This train will improve connectivity and make it easier for people in the state to travel between Jayanagar and Patna.
