Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 3,000 crore during his visit to Mumbai on Saturday, July 13, 2024. During the event, PM Modi strongly criticized the opposition, highlighting job creation and the central government’s efforts.
PM Modi referenced a recent Reserve Bank of India (RBI) report on employment, stating, “According to the report, about 8 crore new jobs were created in the country in the last 3-4 years. These figures have silenced those spreading falsehoods. The opposition opposes investment, infrastructure, and development, and now they are being exposed.”
Emphasizing the NDA government’s commitment to the underprivileged, he said, “Our development model prioritizes those who have been marginalized for decades. From the moment our new government took office, we have made significant decisions regarding pucca houses for the poor and support for farmers.”
PM Modi praised the Maharashtra government’s efforts, saying, “The Mahayuti government of Maharashtra is committed to providing skill training to 10 lakh youth every year. Infrastructure development in tourism, agriculture, and industry is creating new employment opportunities. Improved connectivity ensures safety, convenience, and respect for women, empowering the poor, farmers, women, and youth.”
Addressing recent criticisms from the Congress about the Atal Setu, PM Modi said, “Our aim is to improve the lives of people in Mumbai by enhancing connectivity. The work on the Coastal Road and Atal Setu in Mumbai has been completed, despite the misinformation spread about Atal Setu.”
Highlighting Maharashtra’s significance, PM Modi stated, “Maharashtra will play a crucial role in making India self-reliant. With its robust industrial, agricultural, and financial sectors, Mumbai has become India’s financial hub. My aim is to make Maharashtra the biggest financial power in the world.”
The projects inaugurated and the foundation stones laid by PM Modi mark a significant step towards the continued development and growth of Mumbai and Maharashtra.
