NewDelhi: The Indian government have made a move by prohibiting 18 over the top (OTT) platforms for streaming indecent and unsuitable material. Minister of State, for Information and Broadcasting L.Murugan disclosed the enforcement in parliament on Wednesday referring to regulations, under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) which oversee content.
Mr Murugan informed the Lok Sabha that we have taken action, under the IT Rules to make sure that these platforms adhere to regulations regarding the content they display online.
