New Delhi: Tuesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha, stressing the significance of the Mahakumbh. Modi congratulated the people of Uttar Pradesh, especially those of Prayagraj, for masterful planning of this megafestival. With the cooperation of everyday people, the Mahakumbh proved India’s great cultural legacy, Modi stated.

He underlined that the success of the Mahakumbh came from many people working together. The Mahakumbh is the hope and conviction of the people, not an event. Like real efforts to bring the Ganges to Earth, the Mahakumbh is a group endeavour..

“We experienced last year in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya that the country is getting ready for the future,” Modi remarked. The Mahakumbh has enhanced this even more. Prayagraj’s Mahakumbh, he noted, is a mirror of a vigilant country where millions joined without thinking about comfort and inconvenience. Emotional presentation of religious waters of the Mahakumbh at Mauritius’ Ganga Talao reflected dedication and festivity.

According to the Prime Minister, the Mahakumbh taught several valuable lessons, among which unity was one. He noted that the occasion brought people of all spheres of life together above divisions and demonstrated the extraordinary oneness that Indian society naturally possessed.

Inspired by the Mahakumbh, Modi urged more vigorous planning of river celebrations that will teach generations to come about water conservation and cleanliness.

In response to a vote of thanks, PM Modi had given the Lok Sabha speech before that on February 4. He mentioned his vision of a developed India in 2047 and asserted that his government would attempt to realise it. Claiming this is just their third term and they will keep on in the years ahead, he also had a political jibe or two at the opposition party.

On Monday, the opposition had fired jabs at the Railways Ministry, alleging that creating Instagram clips would not assist in addressing issues resulting from claimed poor management. No compensation could help to bring back lives lost in railway accidents, according to MP Shatabdi Roy of the Trinamool Congress, who also stated ticket cancellation charges an injustice to commuters.

Opposition parties, including Congress and Trinamool Congress, staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha during this period following rejection of their calls for debate on duplicate voter ID cards and Election Commission delimitation faults.
