NDMA Warns Of Severe Flood Situation In Assam & Bihar; CWC Issues Orange Bulletin

New Delhi: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Monday warned of ‘severe flood’ situation in Assam and Bihar, while the Central Water Commission (CWC) issued an orange bulletin warning about the list of danger and highest flood levels of several rivers across the country.

In Assam, three rivers — Desang at Nagalamoraghat in Sibsagar district, Dhansiri (south) at Numaligarh in Golaghat district and Brahmaputra at Neamatighat in Jorhat district — fall under the high-risk regions. River Jiabharali at NT crossing Jia-Bharali in Sonitpur district is under the threat of possible floods with water level 0.38m above the danger level of 77m.
In Bihar, river Gandak at Dumariaghat in Gopalganj district continued to flow in a severe situation at 9 am on Monday along with river Bagmati at Runisaidpur in Sitamarhi district.
