NewDelhi: Prominent leaders from various parties within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have expressed their support for the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the United States, deeming it a significant success. The leaders welcomed the decisions made during the visit, particularly those aimed at boosting investment between India and the US.
Among the supporters are JDU chief and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. They believe that the agreements reached will enhance investments in advanced technology sectors, paving the way for new developmental opportunities. “This visit will have far-reaching and positive effects,” Kumar remarked in a post on X, noting the excitement among the people of Bihar regarding the potential benefits from the announcements made during the trip.
Kumar highlighted the warm reception Modi received from world leaders and the Indian diaspora, asserting that it bolsters his leadership. “Congratulations to Prime Minister Modi for this successful visit,” he added.
Chandrababu Naidu echoed these sentiments, stating that India is fortunate to be under the leadership of a politician who has strengthened the country’s standing in the global community. He noted that Modi’s address at the UN underscored India’s significant role on the international stage.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised Modi as a “global politician and excellent trendsetter.” He noted that the Prime Minister’s ability to address numerous important issues in a brief visit demonstrates India’s progress. “As Indians, we feel proud to see our Prime Minister warmly welcomed by US President Biden at his private residence,” Shinde said, adding that the resulting investments will greatly benefit Maharashtra.
Union Minister and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy also commended Modi for managing a wide array of topics during his short visit, which included discussions on nuclear energy, cervical cancer vaccines, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and quantum technology. He described the visit as astonishing, given the scale of the issues addressed in just three days.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in the US on September 21 for a three-day visit, where he first met with President Joe Biden before participating in the Quad summit and attending an event for overseas Indians in Philadelphia. Modi also delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly and held several bilateral meetings before returning to India on September 26.
