Mumbai: Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh revealed the reason behind Rhea Chakaborty’s decision to leave Sushant Singh Rajput’s house on June 8, at a press briefing on Tuesday.
According to an India Today report, the commissioner said that Rhea was in a troubled relationship with Sushant.
Disclosing the details, Singh said that Rhea was depressed after handling a mentally-ill boyfriend (Sushant) and thus, she left the actor’s Bandra residence on June 8.
“Rhea Chakraborty left Sushant’s home on June 8 because she also suffered from bouts of depression, her mental condition was also not normal,” said the commissioner as reported by India Today.
Post Sushant’s demise, the Mumbai police had interrogated Rhea in the case as she was in a live-in relationship with the actor and used to stay with him at his Bandra residence.
“We recorded Rhea’s statement twice and concluded that there was trouble in the relationship. She revealed details of how they met and spoke about his mental illness and also shared various incidents. Sushant’s prescriptions were also shared. We have verified everything about the Europe tour,” said the commissioner.
Singh also said that Sushant’s family members didn’t share a cordial bond with Rhea.
Rhea had left Sushant’s house on June 8, days before the actor’s demise, following an argument with him.
Before leaving the house, she had reportedly informed the actor’s sister.
