New Delhi: In a plot straight out of a thriller, unverified reports circulating on social media claim that the US’s most elite special forces unit, Delta Force, executed a lightning-fast secret operation to detain Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro right from his bedroom in Caracas.
According to these accounts, the meticulously planned mission involved over 150 US military aircraft crippling Venezuela’s Russian-made S-300 air defence systems with Tomahawk missiles and jamming communications through advanced electronic warfare planes. Reaper drones and satellites provided real-time intelligence on Maduro’s daily routine and security detail.
Elite Delta Force commandos, inserted via stealthy MH-60 Black Hawks and MH-47 Chinook helicopters, reportedly neutralised guards silently and extracted the leader without firing a shot or suffering casualties. The operation, allegedly overseen by a top US general, unfolded over months of preparation.
Delta Force, formally the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta, was founded in 1977 by Colonel Charlie Beckwith, inspired by the British SAS. Renowned for high-stakes counter-terrorism, it gained fame — and notoriety — during the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, immortalised in ‘Black Hawk Down’.
While these dramatic details have gone viral, no official confirmation has emerged from Washington, Caracas, or independent sources. Venezuela remains tight-lipped amid its ongoing political turmoil, leaving the world wondering if America’s shadowy warriors have struck again.
