Ahmednagar: Thirty-three more students have tested COVID-19 positive in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, a residential school in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar, taking the total tally of infected students here to 52. A day before, 19 students had tested positive for COVID-19.
The school, located in Takli Dhokeshwar village has now been sealed.
After the initial set of coronavirus positive cases were confirmed, the authorities had reportedly collected around 450 samples from the school for testing.
The students who have been detected with the infection have been quarantined at Parner’s Rural Hospital, where they are being offered treatment, NDTV reported.
