Mumbai: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2025 brought Bollywood’s biggest stars together in Jaipur on Sunday. Kiran Rao’s ‘Lapata Ladies’ swept the grand ceremony with 10 awards at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC).
Easily one of the most talked-about films of this year, ‘Lapata Ladies’ walked away with the trophy for Best Film that was graciously received by Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan. Besides, the film bagged the Best Director award for Kiran Rao.
Kartik Aaryan is the best actor for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Winner: Kartik Aaryan Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Best Actress Winner: Nitanshi Goel Lapata Ladies Ram Sampath heads the winners this time for Best Music Director for Lapata Ladies.
Jubin Nautiyal won the award for Best Playback Singer (Male) for the song ‘Dua’ from Article 370, and Shreya Ghoshal received the award for Best Playback Singer (Female) for ‘Ami Je Tomar 3.0’ from the movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Bollywood greats graced the IIFA stage with their spectacular dance performances. Hansate Hansate Kat Jaye Raste from Khun Bhari Maang—Rekha and Rakesh Roshan Shah Rukh and Madhuri danced to Koi Ladki Hai from Dil To Pagal Hai, and Shah Rukh also performed on Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam.
Madhuri dazzled the audience with her acts on Ghoomar, Dholna, and Apsara Aali. Dressed in a retro avatar, Kareena Kapoor Khan performed on vintage numbers like ‘Jeena Yahaan, Marna Yahaan,’ ‘Pyaar Hua, Ikrar Hua,’ and ’Ramaiya Vastavaiya.’. Shahid Kapoor performed a high-energy dance on ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ and ‘Saari Ke Fall Sa.’.
This time, veteran director Rakesh Roshan received the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award for his contributions to Indian cinema. The dashing Bollywood actor Rekha bestowed this honour on him as the audience burst into applause.
The IIFA 2025 award night proved to be the moment in Bollywood that stars not only flaunted their talents but also left moments worth remembering for their fans.
