Kyiv Hit by Russian Air Strike, Residential Building Damaged

Kyiv, Ukraine: The Ukrainian capital Kyiv was struck by a Russian air strike on Monday morning, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Several explosions were reported across the city, with debris from intercepted missiles damaging a residential building.

Klitschko announced on Telegram that emergency services were dispatched to the Holosivskyi district in southwestern Kyiv. A part of a missile hit the roof of a residential building, causing damage. Additionally, emergency teams were deployed to two other districts affected by the attack.

Military officials in Kyiv confirmed the air strike and announced an air raid warning for the city following the explosions.

This incident marks a continuation of Russia’s sustained missile attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, targeting civilian areas beyond the battlefield. These attacks raise serious concerns about potential war crimes and the safety of Ukrainian civilians.

The international community has condemned Russia’s aggression and called for an immediate end to the war. The United Nations Security Council has demanded a withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine and urged all parties to engage in meaningful dialogue to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
