New Delhi: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, several IAS officers have been transferred from Delhi to other states and union territories. Among the key transfers, IAS officers Nidhi Malik and Ram Niwas Sharma have been reassigned to Jammu and Kashmir, while Rajshekhar has been posted to Arunachal Pradesh. Bipul Pathak, meanwhile, has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi. Additionally, M Raju has been moved from Puducherry to Jammu and Kashmir, while Saugat Biswas has been relocated from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir. Rashmi Singh has been transferred to Delhi from Jammu and Kashmir, and Yasha Mudgal has been sent from Jammu and Kashmir to Puducherry.
This reshuffle follows a similar large-scale transfer of IAS officers in Delhi earlier this year in July, when Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena initiated administrative changes within the Delhi government and its associated departments. At that time, eight IAS officers were reassigned, including six officers who had been awaiting postings for a considerable period. These officers were part of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre and belonged to various batches between 1996 and 2008.
Previous Key Transfers in July
During the July reshuffle, 1996-batch IAS officer Anbarasu was appointed as Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department, along with the additional charge of CEO at the Delhi Jal Board. Nikhil Kumar, a 2000-batch IAS officer, was appointed Secretary of Land and Building. Additionally, Chanchal Yadav of the 2008 batch was given responsibility as Secretary of the Home Department. Aarti Sharma from the 2010 batch was assigned to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), while her batchmate Jitendra Yadav was appointed as Additional Commissioner at the DDA. Ravi Jha, from the 2011 batch, took on the role of Deputy Commissioner in Delhi.
This latest reshuffle is part of ongoing administrative adjustments aimed at ensuring the effective functioning of departments across states and union territories.
