New Delhi: Jet Airways will be able to relaunch its commercial flight services in India after the Union Home Ministry granted it security clearance.
Security clearance was necessary in lieu of proposed change in Jet Airways’ management control/shareholding pattern and for scheduled operator permit.
The airline which ceased operations in 2019 has a new promoter in Jalan Kalrock Consortium.
Jet Airways conducted test flight to and from Hyderabad airport on May 5.
The airline will next be conducting proving flights under the watch of Directorate General of Civil Aviation to demonstrate its ability to take wings again, reported India Today.
Thereafter, DGCA will have to issue Air Operator Certificate, which is expected to be a formality.
