Washington: In a major controversy hitting the inner circle of former United States President Donald Trump, his son-in-law and former senior White House adviser, Jared Kushner, has been accused of secretly utilising foreign bank accounts funded by Gulf nations. The explosive allegations suggest that Kushner was involved in multi-million dollar financial transactions with foreign entities while holding a top advisory position in the US administration.

The claims have surfaced in a report published by Vanity Fair, based on an excerpt from an upcoming book by Matthew Cole titled Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohammed bin Zayed’s Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East. According to the report, Dutch intelligence operatives allegedly monitored Kushner’s smartphone activities during Trump’s first term in office.

The purported surveillance uncovered secret financial transactions linked to high-ranking Saudi, Emirati, and Israeli leaders. The book alleges that these financial dealings were executed in exchange for Kushner advancing the political and strategic agendas of these foreign leaders before President Trump. The report specifically claims that Kushner accessed a United Arab Emirates (UAE)-linked bank account that received massive funds from a bank in Azerbaijan. It further alleges that approximately $750 million was transferred to an account at the First Abu Dhabi Bank under the name of the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, a charity funded by the UAE government.

Jared Kushner has fiercely rejected the allegations, categorically dismissing them as entirely baseless and fabricated. Taking to the social media platform X, he issued a strong and detailed denial, heavily criticising both the author and the publication.

“These are outrageous fabrications being presented as investigative journalism. This is not journalism. It is a mixture of fantasy, fiction, and advocacy, written by someone who is either deeply disturbed or acting with sinister intent,” Kushner wrote in his post.

He further emphasised that the author failed to provide a single shred of verifiable evidence to substantiate the massive claims, noting the complete absence of bank statements, wire transfer records, or account numbers in the report. Kushner also pointed out that during his tenure at the White House, he was one of the most scrutinised individuals globally, facing intense media coverage and multiple congressional investigations, none of which ever found any trace of these alleged events.
