Tehran: A high-level regional security dialogue is currently underway in the Iranian capital, bringing together senior representatives from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the host nation, Iran. During the crucial discussions, Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian strongly advocated for enhanced unity and solidarity among Islamic nations to ensure regional stability and comprehensive development.

The high-profile foreign delegations arriving in Tehran included Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir alongside Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Turkey’s Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalin. Upon their arrival, the visiting dignitaries were officially received by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Major General Mohsin Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

Addressing the delegates, President Pezeshkian stated that Iran firmly supports any agreement or collaborative initiative that strengthens unity among Islamic countries. He remarked that by leveraging their shared capabilities and resources, Islamic nations have the potential to present a powerful model of justice and development to the global community. The Iranian President further stressed that his administration possesses the firm resolve and willingness to deepen regional cooperation, resolve existing differences, and promote mutual security.

The multilateral talks, initiated following a diplomatic proposal by Pakistan, center on pressing geopolitical issues. According to official statements, the agenda includes regional security dynamics, the ongoing situations in Palestine and Lebanon, and the broader impact of military actions by Israel and the United States in the Middle East.

Prior to the summit, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei briefed the press, emphasizing that sustainable and reliable stability in the region can only be achieved if neighboring countries foster mutual trust and cooperation without external interference. Baghaei noted that the ongoing discussions in Tehran would inevitably evaluate the consequences of what the Iranian government terms as American and Israeli military aggression.

“The events of the past two years, and particularly the last eight months, have demonstrated that lasting security in our region hinges entirely on regional states maintaining trust and collaborating with one another,” Baghaei told reporters.

The diplomatic convergence in Tehran is being viewed by geopolitical observers as a significant step toward bridging diplomatic gaps and formulating a unified regional approach amid escalating tensions across the Middle East.
