New Delhi: The ongoing Iran-Israel war has intensified with reports of 555 fatalities so far, as both sides exchange accusations over a series of high-profile attacks, including strikes on nuclear sites, oil refineries, and even leadership offices.

In a bizarre incident, the United States admitted that three of its F-15E fighter jets crashed in Kuwait due to a fault in its air defence system. “The pilots are safe,” confirmed US officials, attributing the mishap to technical glitches rather than enemy action.

Iran claimed responsibility for an attack on the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but the PM’s office swiftly denied it, stating no such incident occurred. Sources indicated that Netanyahu has been shifted to a secure bunker going by standard security protocols amid heightened threats.

Meanwhile, Iran accused Israel of targeting its nuclear facilities, leading to initial fears of radiation leaks. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) initially raised concerns but later clarified, “No damage to the nuclear site has been reported, and radiation levels remain normal.”

In another blow, operations at Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil refinery, have been halted following an alleged Iranian attack. Adding to the chaos, US warships launched Tomahawk missiles at Iranian positions, escalating American involvement in the conflict.

Tragedy struck closer to home when an Iranian attack on a tanker in Oman claimed the life of an Indian national. Additionally, Iran’s navy chief was reportedly killed in an Israeli strike.

As global powers watch anxiously, the conflict risks further destabilising the region, with oil prices soaring and diplomatic efforts in tatters.
