New Delhi: The global COVID-19 pandemic has impacted almost every country in the world. While every nation is grappling with issues relating to protecting their citizens and stopping the spread of the virus, India has shown the world a new path by converting this disaster into an opportunity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that all countries will have to unite in the fight against this global disaster. “We must play a proactive role to help the neighbouring countries,” he said.
Neighbouring Bangladesh not only understood the seriousness of this matter but also started taking effective measures. While India’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami tweeted that India is going to write a new chapter on deepening relationship with Bangladesh. As a concerned neighbour, India has decided to provide 3 crore corona vaccine doses to Bangladesh.
A MoU has been signed between Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd and Beximco Pharmaceuticals. This MoU will further cement the trust between India-Bangladesh relations.
India is one of the largest manufacturers of vaccines in the world. It is a matter of pride that about 70 per cent of vaccines for low and middle income countries are manufactured in India.
PM Modi has also said that the only way to end this epidemic is through mutual cooperation. We must help each other in fighting this epidemic, he said.
“We will help the world fight this epidemic through our strategy of Sabka Saath, Sabka, Vishwas, Sabka Vikas,” he added.
