Increment Of Headmasters, Teachers In Odisha Stopped Over Poor Results

Bhubaneswar: Headmasters and teachers of the schools, which score poorly in the matric examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, will no longer be entitled to annual increments.

The Odisha government has instructed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to stop the annual increments of headmasters and teachers of high schools with zero result or less than 50 per cent result in the matric exams.

The DEOs have also been asked to initiate disciplinary proceedings against them.
Notably, 82 high schools had secured zero result in the annual examinations.
