How Pakistan Media Report On Deadly Explosion Near Delhi’s Historic Red Fort

New Delhi: The recent car blast near the Red Fort metro station in Delhi has not only shaken the capital but also garnered significant attention from international media, including outlets in the UK, the US, and Pakistan.

The explosion resulted in several casualties and widespread panic, with eight people reported dead and many more injured, as confirmed by Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital authorities.

Pakistani media closely followed the incident, with the prominent newspaper Dawn reporting that eight people lost their lives and approximately 20 were injured in the blast. The report highlighted heightened security measures in major Indian cities like Mumbai and the populous state of Uttar Pradesh, noting that several mutilated bodies were found near the blast site.

In the UK, The Guardian described the blast outside the iconic Red Fort monument as a devastating attack that caused multiple fatalities and fires in the surrounding area. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, extinguishing fires that had engulfed numerous vehicles, including cars and auto-rickshaws, many of which were completely burnt. The report also mentioned that Mumbai was placed on high alert and that sensitive religious sites and border areas in Uttar Pradesh were under increased security.

American broadcaster CNN covered the incident by confirming at least eight deaths and eleven injuries from the blast in a densely populated part of Old Delhi. Their report emphasised the chaos and fear that spread throughout the area following the explosion.

This international media coverage underscores the gravity of the incident and the global concern over safety and security in India’s capital.

Authorities continue their investigation, while Indian cities bolster preventative measures to deter any further attacks.
