Arnos Vale: In a thrilling match, at the Arnos Vale Stadium Bangladesh made an achievement by winning their ever T20 game against the West Indies with a close seven run margin despite a brave performance, by West Indies captain Rovman Powell.
In an exciting match of cricket action Bangladesh managed to score 147 runs, for the loss of 3 wickets in their given 20 overs before bowling out the home team for 140 runs with one ball left in the game.The crucial moment of the match occurred during the three overs when West Indies was left needing 20 runs with just three wickets, in hand.
Powells 60 runs off 35 deliveries appeared to give West Indies the hand; however Bangladeshs bowlers turned the tide with Mehidy Hasan leading the charge with an impressive performance of 4 wickets, for just 13 runs in four overs that orchestrated a sensational comeback for the team, from Bangladesh in a historic victory clinched in the final over bowled by Hasan Mahmud where he dismissed Powell and Alzarri Joseph to secure the win.

The tension reached its peak towards the end of the match as West Indies required 18 runs, from the two overs to secure victory. Although they scored eight runs in the last over they ultimately couldn’t meet the target in the final over due, to Hasan Mahmuds double wicket that turned the tide of the game.
The Bangladesh teams success, in bowling was a team effort. Taskin Ahmed took two wickets while Rishad Hossain and Tanzim Hasan Sakib each got one wicket, to their credit too!. It was Mehidy Hasans performance that really stood out and earned him the Player of the Match title!
This win represents a change, in fortunes for Bangladesh after their defeat in the ODI series against the West Indies on. The teams are now focusing on the two T2O matches, in the series as Bangladesh seeks to capitalize on this achievement.
