The actress said, “It keeps coming to mind, why did this happen in our country? What we have been seeing and hearing on television for the last four-five days is truly heartbreaking. The atrocities and cruelty against women are devastating… It feels very unsafe in such an environment. Every household has daughters, and we must find ways to protect them. I have faith that our government, under Modi’s leadership, will address this. I also have full confidence in the Supreme Court.”
