Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Wednesday issued yellow warning for many districts of Odisha for the next four days, owing to a low pressure which is likely to form over coastal parts of West Bengal around July 26.
Till July 25 morning: The Met office has sounded heavy rainfall alert for Rayagada, Kandhamal, Balangir, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts
July 25 and July 26: Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Balasore and Bhadrak
July 26 and July 27: Heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur at isolated places in Koraput, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Deogarh and Sambalpur, intense rainfall will lash parts of Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Gajapati, Ganjam, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Nabarangpur, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur.
July 27 and July 28: Similar forecast is for Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balangir and Bargarh and parts of Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Koraput.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along and off Odisha coast and northwest adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal on July 27 and July 28. Those in deep sea have been advised to return to the coast by July 26.
