Haryana’s Rohtak: Congress Leader Himani Narwal Found Dead In Suitcase

Chandigarh: Himanshu Narwal, Congress leader As per a report, the body recovered after being pushed into a suitcase belonged to Congress leader Himani Narwal—in a shocking incident in Haryana’s Rohtak. Her remains were found in a suitcase, which sent waves of shock through the region. Her outfit was reminiscent of the traditional Haryanvi wear Himani had donned a few weeks back when she was spotted with Rahul Gandhi during the latter’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. She had campaigned for Congress leaders Deepender Hooda and Bhupinder Hooda during Haryana Assembly polls.

Reacting sharply to the incident, Congress MLA from Rohtak Bharat Bhushan Batra has now demanded an SIT to probe the murder.

The discovery of a suitcase containing the body of a young woman with henna-adorned hands near a flyover in Sampla town earlier in the day caused panic. The PGI in Rohtak preserved her body for post-mortem identification, as her identity remained unclear.

Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra confirmed her identity and said she was a local Congress worker and was involved in every campaign, including Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. He reiterated his demand for an expeditious and comprehensive SIT probe into her murder.

Batra continued his attack on the state’s deteriorating law and order situation, urging the government to implement strict measures to intimidate criminals and deter such inhumane acts. It is worth mentioning that just a day ahead of her death, Himani had shared a video on social media where she was seen present at some wedding function.

The suitcase was located near the flyover in Sampla at around 11 AM. Nonetheless, the police have been reluctant to answer questions from the media about the case. The demand for an SIT probe into the matter is increasing with every passing hour, with political leaders wanting justice for the deceased.
