Guntur Youth Learned Bike Theft From Online Videos, Booked By Police

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh: In Guntur district, police caught a young man named Venkateshwarulu stealing motorcycles after watching YouTube movies on how to do it. This one might make you think about how easily something you can find online can be abused because it shows the worst possible outcome of not making good life choices.

With his B.Tech, Venkateshwarulu wanted to become an engineer. Still, when he got a job as an outsourcing worker for a housing company, the pay wasn’t enough to keep him going, and he ended up living on the streets. It was hard to make ends meet, and some lousy behaviour quickly became a scam, leading to an arrest.

His family kicked him out when they learnt about his problems. Since Venkateshwarulu’s parents weren’t there for him, he went to drugs and stole bikes. YouTube videos helped him learn how to hotwire motorcycles, which he immediately used in illegal actions.

Venkateshwarulu started picking up parked bikes and selling them in different parts of the city, where he usually worked. One of his partners, Sitaram Reddy, was from a nearby village and helped him with this shady business. Police say Reddy sold the stolen bikes on OLX and paid a fee for each sale.

For a year, no one knew anything about the criminal pair until cops finally caught Vankateshwarulu. During the operation, the cops recovered 12 stolen motorcycles. After questioning Sitaram Reddy some more, the cops said he was a repeat offender with 40 theft cases against him.

This is a clear example of how online sites can be abused. It also shows the difference between the right and wrong ways to do things and what happens when someone chooses the wrong way.
