Gold in Death: How Poverty Led To Grave Robbing In Hanumakonda!

Hanumakonda, Telangana: Incredible strangeness has taken place in Hanumakonda district, as the residents have been naturally taken aback upon learning of a burglar raiding the local cemetery for human skulls…This form of news, which impacted the public psychologically, felt like a tension wire, which, with many associated the international hand of black magic, did light their fears. Nonetheless, the reality behind the car theft crime proved to be even more wonderful.

The burglar, once caught, confessed that stealing human skulls, for him, was a way to gain gold, which was a tradition to put into the dead’s mouth before the burial. He carried on saying that it was a common practice in the area, and he was going to sell the gold to feed his family. When the authorities established his reasons behind his actions, he was scolded and set free on the condition that he would stop committing such acts.

The stealing was done at the Bhimarama cemetery, where people saw the earth around graves mixed and skulls missing. People were worried that it was someone who used the skull for black magic. The thefts occurred mainly at night, which made the locals come up with a plan to catch the thief while he was doing it.

On the Amavasya night, a group of villagers hid in the local cemetery and waited for any suspicious activity. Their patience paid off when they spotted a guy trying to dig a grave. They quickly captured him, gave him a reason to think about his actions by beating him up, and handed him over to the police.

During the interrogation, the thief said, “Sir, I am very poor. I only steal skulls to get the gold placed in them. If I dug new graves, people would suspect me, so I targeted old graves instead.”

This situation has led to significant worries about the safety of residents and the flag of respect for the name of the dead in the community, thereby seeing the necessity of raising the vigour of protective measures of cemeteries.
