Following the drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s largest oil field, petrol and diesel prices in India have finally been hiked.
Petrol is now costlier by 14 paise per litre and diesel by 15 paise. This is the highest single-day hike since July 5.
Petrol in Bhubaneswar is now priced at Rs 71.45 a litre and diesel is Rs 70.62.
India currently imports 83 per cent of its oil. Saudi Arabia is the second-biggest supplier to India and supplies one-fifth of the country’s fuel needs. Iraq is the biggest exporter of oil to India.
