Mumbai: In a candid press conference following his release on interim bail in a cheque bounce case, Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav opened up about his thriving career and the overwhelming support from fans amid recent troubles.

Yadav, known for his comic timing in films like ‘Chup Chup Ke’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, revealed that he has secured projects worth a staggering 1,200 crores. “These are mainly from branding deals, not including my film commitments,” he said, emphasising four major agreements where individual ventures range from 200 crore to 2000 crore. Some involve direct fees, while others offer equity stakes. Additionally, he has ten films in the pipeline, signalling a strong comeback.

Expressing deep gratitude, Yadav shared heartwarming stories of public solidarity. “In the last 20 days, fans — including children who broke their piggy banks — raised over one crore through social media and other channels,” he recounted. He promised to release a statement thanking key supporters by name and vowed to repay every contribution with utmost respect. However, he added humbly, “I cannot repay the debt to the children of this nation who stood by me. I only seek their blessings.”

Yadav attributed the legal snag to alleged malice by lender Madhav Agrawal, who he claimed had issued threats. Wrapping up on an inspirational note, he quoted, “Live like a king, work like a labourer. A king remains a king, whether in jail or here, and a king does not run and hide.”
