Hyderabad: Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has suffered a hip injury after a fall in the bathroom of his farmhouse in Erravalli. He was immediately rushed to Yashoda Hospital for treatment.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that KCR sustained a fractured hip bone and is currently undergoing treatment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other prominent figures have offered their swift recovery and wished KCR a speedy recovery.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday night, just two days after KCR held a meeting with BRS MLAs at his farmhouse to analyse the party’s recent defeat in the 2023 Telangana assembly elections.
Initial reports suggest that the fall resulted from a slip in the bathroom, leading to the serious injury. KCR’s daughter and Telangana BRS MLC, K Kavitha, issued a statement on Twitter assuring the public that her father is under the care of skilled doctors and will recover soon with the support and well wishes of everyone.
This incident has generated concern among BRS supporters and the public in Telangana. KCR remains a prominent figure in the state’s political landscape, and his health and well-being are of significant importance.
