Pune: Pune city police on Thursday morning “nabbed” Kiran Gosavi, an ‘independent witness’ in the drugs-on-cruise case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, in connection with a cheating case lodged in 2018.
On Wednesday, Gosavi had said he planned to surrender before Pune police. The latter, however, claimed on Thursday they “nabbed” Gosavi before he could travel to Mumbai.
Gosavi, a private investigator from Mumbai, hit the headlines after a selfie of his with Aryan went viral following his arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
After that, he had gone incommunicado. He was reportedly travelling in Uttar Pradesh and had expressed his intention to surrender before UP Police as he felt “threatened” in Mumbai.
On Wednesday, he travelled to Pune and had told a news channel that he would be appearing before NCB officers conducting an internal inquiry against Sameer Wankhede, NCB’s Mumbai Zonal Director, in Mumbai, following which he planned to surrender before Pune Police.
