New Delhi: In a story that has left an entire village in awe, a 75-year-old woman, declared dead by doctors, miraculously came back to life after an ambulance carrying her body hit a speed breaker in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district.
The extraordinary incident, being hailed as nothing short of a miracle, unfolded in Khachrod, where Ayodhya Bai’s family was left grappling with grief one moment and jubilation the next.
On August 20, Ayodhya Bai’s health took a sudden turn for the worse, prompting her family to rush her to Indore’s Aurobindo Hospital. Doctors diagnosed a ruptured blood vessel in her brain, a critical condition that required immediate surgery. Despite the operation, her condition deteriorated, and the medical team pronounced her dead. Devastated, her family began preparations for her last rites, sharing the news of her passing on social media, which drew scores of community members to their home in Khachrod for the final farewell.
As the ambulance carried Ayodhya Bai’s body back to her village, fate had other plans. While navigating the road from Indore to Ujjain, the vehicle jolted over a speed breaker near Dharmpuri. The sudden jerk caused Ayodhya Bai’s body to shift, and to the astonishment of her son, Dinesh, who was accompanying her, she began to show signs of life. “We thought she was gone,” Dinesh recounted, his voice tinged with disbelief. “But when the ambulance hit the speed breaker, her body moved, and suddenly, her breathing resumed. It was like a miracle.”
The family immediately alerted the ambulance driver, who rushed Ayodhya Bai to a hospital in Ujjain, where doctors confirmed she was indeed alive. News of her revival spread like wildfire, transforming the sombre atmosphere at her home into one of celebration. Villagers, who had gathered to mourn, were now rejoicing, with many attributing her return to life to divine intervention or an unfinished destiny.
