This particular virus is commonly called “Bleeding Eye Disease and spreads quickly among people. Dr. Jugal Kishore mentioned that the presence of two outbreaks happening at the time in Africa is concerning but not cause for worldwide alarm at this point, as the infections are contained within certain areas for now.
Dr. Kishore expressed concern over the spread of Disease X and Marburg; however, the outbreaks are currently localized in a country. Maintaining caution is advised by refraining from traveling to affected regions and staying alert, especially when family members have visited impacted areas recently.
