Mumbai: The hit TV series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is back, in the news spotlight due to a brewing conflict, between the actor Dilip Joshi playing Jethalal and the shows producer Asit Kumar Modi.Sources indicate that a conversation turned into an argument that reportedly led to a physical altercation occurring.
The situation allegedly started when Joshi asked Modi for some time off in August but Modi brushed off the discussion which left Joshi feeling frustrated and upset, with Modis behavior escalated when Joshi mentioned quitting the show due, to feeling disrespected by Modis actions.
The incident took place during the day of shooting for Gunvants character portrayed by Kush Shah in the series production. Joshi was anticipating a discussion, with Modi; upon Modis arrival he proceeded to engage with Kush instead of Joshi himself which only served to escalate Joshis irritation. Tensions rose as the argument intensified with Joshi grabbing Modi by the collar while reiterating his intention to leave the show.
Luckily, after their argument Modi was able to soothe Joshis temper down. Reports mention that this is not the initial occurrence of friction, between them as disagreements have occurred on set before.
Over the 16 years, on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah show actor Dilip Joshi has charmed audiences as Jethalal.The show has seen cast changes, over the years.Disha Vakani,Raj Anandkat,Bhavy Gandhi,Gurcharan Singh,Kush Shah,Jennifer Mistry and Palank Sindhwani have all bid farewell to the series making Joshi one of the remaining members of the cast.
