Delhi Parliament Attack Case: Police Investigate Based on Technical Evidence

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the Parliament attack case, primarily relying on technical and electronic evidence. According to sources, the probe team has scanned the call data records (CDR) of the accused and collected dump data around Vijay Chowk and Parliament.

Six teams have been formed by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police to conduct the investigation. To verify the veracity of the accused’s statements, CCTV footage from India Gate to Parliament is being reviewed.

The key question for the investigation team is whether the five accused were acting alone or if there were other individuals involved who are yet to be identified. Additionally, CCTV footage from Gurugram, where the accused had visited Vishal alias Vicky’s residence, has been examined.

During interrogation, the accused have maintained that unemployment is the primary motivation behind their actions. However, the police remain sceptical as they cannot explain how Sagar, who cited unemployment as his primary concern, has only completed 12th grade, while Manoranjan had previously quit a job.

According to sources, the police are likely to make Vicky alias Vishal an approver. The accused had stayed at Vicky’s house on December 10, where they reportedly planned the attack. Vicky is believed to be a crucial witness for the police. Vicky, however, has cut ties with the public and the media since the police let him go.

Furthermore, the Special Cell team has compiled a list of 50 mobile numbers with whom the accused has interacted in the past 15 days. The team is contacting these numbers to gather additional information.

The Delhi Police are actively investigating the case from all angles to establish the complete sequence of events and identify any potential accomplices or facilitators of the attack.
