COVID-19 Shot For Senior Citizens & Persons With Comorbidities From March 1

New Delhi:  Senior citizens, above the age of 60 will be vaccinated against COVID-19, from March 1.

Informing this, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said those above 45 years with comorbidities will also be vaccinated from March 1 at 10,000 government and over 20,000 private vaccination centres.

The vaccine will be given free of cost at government centres.

The Union Minister also said those who want to get vaccinated from private hospitals will have to pay.

The amount they would need to pay will be decided by the Health Ministry within 3 to 4 days as they are in discussion with manufacturers and hospitals.
