New Delhi: It is winter season now in the country and cold has set in different states in the nation now. Winter has also knocked in Delhi-NCR, the IMD has warned dense fog from 15 November onwards. The fog is expected to arrive alongside low temperatures – the former to impact Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, as well. In recent days, dense fog has already occurred over Punjab & Himachal according to the meteorological department.

After mid November all the north Indian states can expect a large fall in their temperatures. Further, there is a yellow alert for rainfall in six districts of Andhra Pradesh in the next five days because of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Below are state by state prediction of the possibility of experiencing rainfall until 16 November of the year.
The Met has predicted that the weather would remain cloudy in the mid and lower hills of Himachal Pradesh and may cover with dense fog on 11 and 12, in the night and early morning. Punjab may also expect similar fogy conditions during these times on 11-12 November. Rajasthan weather department has anticipated that the place will be engulfed with dense fog in the mornings as well as in the nights in the days to come. While Jharkhand is predicted to have cloudy with fog or mist condition for the next four days.
Most locations will continue to experience clear and mainly dry skies. But a change in weather is expected to occur after 15 November in Madhya Pradesh. Because of snowfalls and cold winds of northern India, temperature is expected to decrease from 15 November onwards in the state. Late November is expected to bring cloudy skies and light rain to Gwalior and Chambal divisions.
The IMD has also pointed out the likely formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, resulting in many states having intense spells of rain between November 11 and 16. On 11 November uncomfortably warm with heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. Of the total rainfall, about 45-75% is expected in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Karaikal on 12 November with intense showers. Likewise, on 13 November, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Mahe and Rayalaseema will be experienced Heavy Rain.
There are showers on the 14 of November and Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and Rayalaseema are going to have heavy rain showers. The future of Tamil Nadu Puducherry, Kerala, Karaikal, and Mahe predicts heavy rainfall on 15 November whereas Kerala and Mahe only on 16 November. Other parts of the nation are not likely to be offered any decent rainfall throughout this period.
With the approach of winter all over the India, thick fog and drastic reduction in temperatures are predicted over the northern region. At the same time, active monsoon low pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal may cause more than 100 mm of rainfall in many southern states within a week. As with changing weather conditions accompanied by dense fog alerts and rainfall alerts citizens and travellers are advised to be careful.
