Raipur: The counting of votes for the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections is underway, and initial trends suggest a Congress victory. While Congress is leading by a majority of seats, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is trailing in his own constituency.
The Congress party is confident of forming the government again, as it has crossed the majority mark in the trends. As of 10:30 am, there was a close contest between the two parties.
In contrast, the BJP appears to be winning in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. In Rajasthan, the BJP is leading by 70 out of all 199 seats.
The counting of votes is still ongoing, and the final results are expected to be announced later today.
