Apple is reportedly developing in-display fingerprint tech for 2020 iPhones. TouchID was replaced by Face ID in iPhone X two years back.
In-display fingerprint has already become a standard in Android phones.
Apple is reportedly also working on a low-cost series, similar to the iPhone SE. It will look like the iPhone 8 and have a smaller 4.7-inch screen. The launch will most likely happen in 2020. The SE was launched in 2016 for $399 while the cheapest Apple phone, iPhone 8 is currently priced at $599.
For this year, Apple will be introducing new powerful iPhones on September 10. The new phones will have upgraded low-light photography, faster processors, better water resistance, shatter-resistant glass, new charge-tech for AirPods and more.
