Chak De India! Vinod Kambli Shows Off His Moves As He Recovers in Hospital

Thane, India: The health situation of ex-Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is slowly improving; that can be witnessed from a viral video where he was seen dancing while in the hospital bed. Kambli, who has received a urinary infection and muscle cramps’ complaint since December 21 and is admitted to a private hospital in Thane, has started coming to his senses.

The video shows Kambli dancing in the hospital corridors and halls to ‘Chak De India’—a’ vigorously charged song—and all in jubilant moods were the hospital staff as well as avid fans. His energetic show is not only a symbol of his recovering physical condition but also an example for many people who are his fans.

Kambli’s recent hospitalisation raised alarm when he was seen financially unstable and in a very bad health state. Speaking to Mid-Day, the hospital’s director, Shailesh Thakur, a die-hard fan of Kambli, said he will treat Kambli for free after watching a video clip of Kambli’s treatment on Facebook. Kambli now has three doctors attending him, and after improving drastically, he has been transferred from the ICU to the ward.

Besides the medical help, local MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, who has promised ₹5 lakh personal assistance under the Shinde Foundation for Kambli to combat this tough time. This support is due to be provided next week; more support is also promised in the future.

Kambli also thanked his fans for showering him with love and support during these trying times. On this, he agreed with the fact that it is the encouragement from fans and well-wishers that has helped him recover.
