CEO Of Bengaluru Startup ‘Kills’ 4-Yr-Old Son In Goa, Travels Back With Body In Bag; Check The Chilling Details

Goa: A 39-year-old woman chief executive officer (CEO) of a start-up company allegedly murdered her four-year-old son in Goa and traveled with the body to Karnataka.

According to reports, the woman checked-in to a luxury apartment in North Goa’s Candolim on Saturday with her son and checked out on Monday morning. The CCTV footage showed that she left the hotel without her son and was carrying a bag.

“The woman asked the hotel staff to arrange a taxi for Bengaluru…After the checkout, when the hotel staff went to clean the room, they found red-coloured stains which they assumed to be blood. The staff immediately informed the police…The police reached the hotel and tried to contact the woman through the driver. The police inquired about the woman’s son to which she said that the child had been staying at a friend’s place. However, the police found the address provided by the woman to be fake…The driver was asked to take the car to the police station and on checking the luggage, police found the body of the boy…An FIR was registered and the woman was arrested…” North Goa SP Nidhin Valsan told reporters on Tuesday.

Though the exact motive for the murder is yet to be established, the accused woman during preliminary interrogation mentioned ‘estranged relationship’ with her husband as one of the reasons. Her estranged husband, Venkat Raman, who is currently in Jakarta, filed for divorce in 2020 after 10 years of marriage. She allegedly killed the boy ahead of the scheduled meeting with his father on Sunday, according to reports.

“The accused mentioned that she has a troubled relationship with her husband and their divorce process is nearly finalised. There was also a court order causing distress to her,” Valsan said, adding that the woman hails from West Bengal while her husband is from Kerala.
