New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the application window for Class 12 answer sheet verification and re evaluation on June 7, marking the final opportunity for students to seek a review of their board examination results. The board has advised candidates to complete the process before the deadline to avoid last minute technical issues and heavy traffic on the portal.

The post result review process is an important mechanism that allows students to verify their marks and request re evaluation of specific answers if they believe discrepancies exist in the assessment. This year, the process has attracted significant attention due to the large number of applications submitted by students across the country.

According to CBSE, students who have already obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books are eligible to apply for verification and re evaluation through the official online portal. The board introduced the digital system to improve transparency and give students greater access to their evaluated answer sheets before requesting a review.

The review process takes place in multiple stages. Students first receive scanned copies of their answer books, allowing them to examine the evaluation and identify any possible issues. After reviewing the scanned copies, candidates can apply for verification of marks or request re evaluation of specific questions by paying the prescribed fee through the online portal.

CBSE recently extended the deadline for the process after receiving an unusually high volume of applications. The board reported that tens of thousands of requests had already been submitted, leading to increased traffic on the portal. Officials stated that the extension was intended to ensure that all eligible students received sufficient time to complete the procedure.

The board also confirmed that its digital infrastructure remained operational despite attempts to disrupt online services through cyber attacks. CBSE officials said security measures were strengthened to protect the portal and ensure uninterrupted access for students during the application period.

Education experts believe the review mechanism plays an important role in maintaining trust in the examination system. By allowing students to examine evaluated answer sheets and seek corrections where necessary, the process enhances accountability and transparency in board examinations.

Students have been advised to carefully review the guidelines available on the official CBSE website before submitting their applications. They should also keep copies of payment receipts and application details for future reference.

With the deadline now approaching, candidates seeking verification or re evaluation have only a limited window left to complete the process. After the portal closes, CBSE will begin examining the applications and processing the requests in accordance with established procedures.

The outcome of the review process will be communicated through official channels once the board completes the evaluation and verification exercise.
