BMW on Wednesday launched the new 2019 BMW 3 Series in India. The prices of the new BMW 3 series in Bhubaneswar are as follows:
BMW 320d Sport – Rs 41.40 lakh
BMW 320d Luxury Line – Rs 46.90 lakh
BMW 330i M Sport – Rs 47.90 lakh
The new 7th generation 3 Series is based on the CLAR platform and shares its underpinnings with the 5 & 7 series.
The BMW 330i features a 1998 cc four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 255 bhp power at 5000 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm between 1550 – 4400 rpm. The diesel BMW 320d is powered by 1995 cc four-cylinder engine that makes 188 bhp power at 4000 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm between 1,750 – 2,500 rpm. The transmission is an eight-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic on both engines. The 330i petrol is BSVI compliant.
The new 3-series has larger kidney grilles like the new 8 Series and L-shaped daytime running lights. It also has self-levelling hub caps on the wheels, as seen in Rolls-Royce cars.
The 320d comes with 17-inch light-alloy wheels while the 330i gets larger 18-inch light-alloy wheels.
Dimensionally, the new BMW 3 Series is 76 mm longer at 4,709 mm, 16 mm wider at 1,827 mm, and just 1 mm taller at 1,442 mm. The wheelbase is 41 mm longer at 2,851 mm. Apart from the famed 50:50 weight distribution, the suspension spring rates have increased by 20 per cent for better feedback.
The cabin features an all-digital instrument console with a HUD, memory seats, electric sunroof, keyless entry, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and BMW’s Intelligent Personal Assistant.
The new 3-series comes with EMI options starting at Rs 49,999, assured buyback of Rs 22.7 lakhs after 3 years and Rs 19.4 lakhs after 4 years and service packages starting at Rs 0.99/km.
