NewDelhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the appointment of election officers for the upcoming elections of state presidents and national council members. This decision was made public on Thursday, with senior leaders and central ministers assigned to ensure the smooth conduct of internal elections in their respective states.Piyush Goyal has been appointed as the election officer for Uttar Pradesh, while Manohar Lal Khattar will oversee elections in Bihar. Dharmendra Pradhan has been designated as the election officer for Madhya Pradesh, and Sunil Bansal will handle Goa. Additionally, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been appointed for Karnataka.

According to the BJP’s constitution, state organizational elections must be conducted in at least 50% of the states before the election of the national president can take place.
