BJP Leader: AAP Government In Punjab On Verge Of Collapse

NewDelhi: Former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Monday claimed that the Punjab government under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would collapse at any moment and that Arvind Kejriwal would never win an election again.

He stated this while addressing a program at Nipania to unveil a statue of former BJP MLA Dashrath Singh.
Singh said, ”I never predict but today it is the future of Kejriewal and Aam Aadmi Party that is at stake” The AAP government in Punjab is on a topple stage at any time.

With AAP losing the Delhi Assembly elections and speculation of rebellion within AAP’s Punjab unit gaining ground, Singh said AAP national convenor Kejriwal would never win again. Commenting on the statements made by the saints for Rahul Gandhi’s remark that the BJP is not Hindu and their demand for issuing an apology, the former president of the Wrestling Federation of India said, “These are political issues, and saints have expressed their opinion on it. I won’t comment on it.”

The BJP’s attack on the ruling AAP in Punjab has become sharper. Punjab BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh said on Monday that the countdown for the Bhagwant Mann-led government has started. Chugh’s comments come amid rumours about differences in the AAP Punjab unit following its Assembly poll defeat in Delhi. The results were announced on Saturday.

The political discussion is taking place as AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is meeting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, ministers and legislators in Delhi. Punjabis have lost faith in the AAP, said Chugh. Talking about AAP’s drubbing in Delhi, he said, Punjab also wants to free itself from this AAP disaster now.” He said, “The liquor, sand, and mining mafias continue to run their business under the nose of the Bhagwant Mann government, which has not taken any steps to curb them.”

Chugh added that the BJP would act as a “powerful opposition” in Punjab. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, BJP MLA from Rajouri Garden in west Delhi, who has been the party’s chief spokesperson in Delhi, echoed similar sentiments and predicted that Kejriwal would “squeeze out” Mann.

Sirsa said that it is being told that Kejriwal may declare Mann inefficient for not fulfilling promises like giving ₹1,000 to women, curbing drug addiction, and taking control himself.
