Mumbai: The drama and suspense inside the ‘Bigg Boss 20’ house reached a crescendo during the latest ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode, resulting in the season’s second eviction. Punjabi actress and rapper Badshah’s ex-wife, Isha Rikhi, has been eliminated from the Salman Khan-hosted reality show, leaving her fans disappointed. Her exit marks the end of her 21-day journey in the controversial television house.
For this week’s elimination, the sword hung over two nominated contestants: Isha Rikhi and rapper Yung DSA. Since both contestants had already exhausted their “extra lifelines” (Jeevandaan), one of them had to bid a final farewell to the show. Ultimately, the eviction was decided by audience voting. Yung DSA managed to secure a massive wave of support from the viewers, while Isha received the lowest number of votes, leading to her inevitable exit.
In classic Salman Khan style, the host injected a moment of tension and humour before making the final announcement. During the Sunday episode, Salman initially pranked the housemates by announcing, “Yung, you are leaving.” However, moments later, he revealed the actual voting results, declaring Yung safe and confirming Isha’s elimination.
Isha’s departure follows the eviction of Afghan-origin Austrian actor Rohid Khan, who was eliminated during the previous ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’. With two contestants officially out, the competition is heating up for the remaining 14 housemates who initially entered the show on September 6. Speculations are already rife that the makers will soon introduce wildcard entries to shake up the existing dynamics and alliances within the house.
Beyond the tense elimination, the ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode was a star-studded affair. Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat graced the stage to promote their highly anticipated upcoming film, ‘Drishyam 3’. Adding to the glamour, actors Fatima Sana Shaikh, Zeeshan Ayyub, and Raghubir Yadav also made a special appearance to promote their new series, ‘Hunkar’. During their interaction with Salman, Fatima and Zeeshan revealed that Qazi is currently their favourite contestant in the house.
