Bengaluru Police Probe Chilling Suitcase Murder

Bengaluru: An incident has been reported from the vicinity of Bengaluru, where the mutilated corpse of a woman has been found inside a suitcase in Doddakammanahalli, in the Hulimavu area. The victim has been identified as Gauri Anil Sambekar, 32, and her husband, Rakesh, is accused of killing her. Police claimed that Rajkumar, after murdering his wife, chopped her body and put it in a bag. He then called Gauri’s parents in Maharashtra to tell them the suitcase contained their daughter, breaking their hearts. The married couple from Maharashtra had shifted to Bengaluru a year ago and were living together and working remotely for a private company in Doddakammanahalli.

The couple frequently fought, to the point that neighbours had intervened, giving them counsel but continuing to hear fights afterward. But on Thursday, it took a terrible turn when Rakesh committed the gruesome act. He called up Gauri’s parents right after committing the murder; they then complained to their local police in Maharashtra about the issue. Hulimavu police in Bengaluru acted on this tip-off and rushed to the spot. His cruelty broke like wildfire among neighbours, leaving the community aghast at Rakesh.
